This term,"One True Church" really does cause me heartache. I married my husband in August 2009. I was not a member of any organized church. I had been involved with so many churches that I became disillusioned by them. I was a member of United Methodist for 20 years, Jewish Messianic Congregation for 15 years. I used to state that I was Non-denominational when asked what church I belong to. My husband is Restorationist RLDS born and raised in this since age 8, before than he was a Baptist. He now wants me to be baptized into his present congregation, which I bulk at doing. I feel I have all I need of. . I have been immersed twice already in the christian faith. The last time by my Messianic Pastor. I have the Holy Spirit active in my life with evidence of the gifts of the Spirit. How do I withstand my husband's efforts to make me conform to his belief? He accepted my faith before we married, but now insists I will be lost if I do not follow the Priesthood belief and be re-baptized by one in authority. How can I make him understand that I feel totally in obedience to God's Word with what I have in my faith in Jesus Christ and His leading me to all truth so far as I have come to understand Him?

Satan could not have used Joseph Smith as a deceived because if he had, his Kingdom would have fallen... 27And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges. JBM Apparently Children were casting devils out in Jesus Day... 28But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. JBM Jan to much fulfillment of Biblical Prophecy has happened... Joseph Smith was not a fraud because if he had been, the prophecy coming after would not have happened yet... Point Being 911 and the twin towers have happened... Isaiah 30:25 At the time of the coming of the Lord, Isaiah 34:2 The Book of Mormon had to come forth to warn the children of men... God is coming soon... Only those left standing will be those with a knowledge of the restoration of God's covenant knowledge... Which ironically is what the word Mormon means... Restoration of the Covenant.

The reason Alma 7:10 says Jesus was born in Jerusalem is very simple.

I live in Arkansas. When I travel to Independance MO on business I often tell people I'm heading to Kansas City.

When really I'm traveling to the land round about Kansas City, I.E the Land of Kansas City ='s Independance MO.

Kansas City is the dominant Land Mark, of a well known general area.

Jesus was not born in Jerusalem, but in the Land of Jerusalm surounding the City. The land of Jerusalem in ancient times was also known as Jerusalem because law enforcement and solders would be issued forth from the city walls to maintain law in the outlying villages such as Nazereth.

Much the way Kansas City holds much influence and sway with Independance Missouri. Difference is Independance is a separate city. Wherease Nazareth while a separate village, was still ruled by the legal authorities from Jerusalem. Therefore anceint Nazereth would be considered part of Jerusalem.

You can document this fact from ancient Babylonian texts where spies sent letters to the King of Babylon saying the Land of Jerusalem has taken up arms against you... These spies didn't say the City of Jerusalem, but the Land Of the City of Jerusalem.

Study your ancient history and you will understand the Book of Mormon.

AMEN!!! I believe in many ways Joseph Smith is worse than Hitler or Stalin. They only took lives away here on Earth. Joseph Smith has lead so many millions of people to a Jesus that isn't the Jesus Christ of the Bible and to a salvation that is no salvation at all. May God have mercy on his soul. I hope and pray that "the one true church" will have the scales removed from their eyes and be brought to the Truth!

Great Job, Jan! Another completely different kind of baptism is the Baptism of the Dead. This was one of my first doubts while a member of "the One True Church." When I visited Nauvoo, before the temple was rebuilt, I read about the baptismal fount in the basement of this temple and was confounded. I couldn't understand how someone who was dead and never heard of Jesus Christ could be saved. Not to mention, how they could be saved by a baptism. Well, I know why I was so confused, because it was yet another deception that Joseph Smith brought into his church.
